Hi all! This will be a fairly quick post but I definitely could not leave out the hours spent on team building on our first day at choir camp. We took a trip out into this large field with a small pond and you could hear the sounds of nature everywhere. We all stood in silence just admiring how beautiful the area was and even sang one of our songs titled "I Will Rise" which sounded amazing because we just solely focused on the beauty around us and tried to match it with our voices. We then split into two groups of girls and guys to begin the team building exercises. The very first one we did was called "Two Truths and a Lie". Basically, the point is one person says two things about them that are true and one thing that is a lie and the group has to guess the lie. It gave us a chance to learn plenty of things about the members of choir and even come up with silly lies to try to hide the truth. I found out a member has 5 cats but is actually allergic to all of them! Our next activity was the Human Knot where each person has to cross and connect their arms with the person across from them. Then, without disconnecting, everyone must step over or around the arms to try to untangle the human knot. This involved a great deal of teamwork and brainstorming and it was actually really difficult! Our final exercise was Telephone. In case you haven't heard of it, everyone gets in a very large circle. One person starts by whispering to the person next to them a message and it gets passed around. The last person in the circle says it out loud to see if it is correct! This task was harder than I thought it would be because our choir consists of 83 members and many times the message got a bit scrambled!

Here are some pics from our team building session!
